Hunter Schafer cracks up in the ‘Cuckoo’ trailer

We’re big fans of Tilman Singer’s Luz, which burst onto the genre scene in 2018 without much fanfare and quickly became one of the more accomplished Giallo riffs — and the shortest, at just 70 minutes — that we watched in the ’10s. Seriously, you should check that out if you like your horror nasty, brutish, and short or if you’re wondering what the next wave of German cinema is cooking up. Like good beer, chocolate, and hard-to-maintain-and-insure cars, it […]

As we previously mentioned, Keith Morris of OFF!, Circle Jerks, and Black Flag (and Buglamp and Midget Handjob), recently appeared on the vinyl guide podcast. During the episode, Keith mentioned that following the release of OFF!'s fourth album, Free LSD in 2022, the reception wasn't as large as the band would have liked and that, at least in Australia, audience turnout was lower than they had hoped at long shows. He continued to say that because of this, the band will be doing a few shows supporting the release of the movie Free LSD and then going on hiatus/Keith also mentioned that Circle Jerks plan to record a new album and have some instrumental portions written as well as lyrics to at least one full song. Circle Jerks are on tour right now with Descendents. We'll keep you updated.

This Show Is Tonight: All 4 U’s queer pop party launches in Allston

There’s not enough dance nights supplying “non-stop ass-shakers” these days, and All 4 U knows it. With a tagline culled straight from a timeless Janet Jackson bop, Boston’s new “queer pop party” pops off at O’Brien’s Pub in Allston tonight (April 3) with a frenetic blend of hyper-pop, electro, and ’80s throwbacks. The promo for All 4 U — whose logo is currently formatted like the placeholder cover art for Charli XCX’s album Brat, a green flag if there ever […]
