Tours: The Gaslight Anthem to release new EP, announce North American tour

The Gaslight Anthem have announced that they will be releasing a new EP. It is called History Books – Short Stories and features a cover of “Ocean Eyes” by Billie Eilish along with a reworking of “Blue Jeans and White T-Shirts” and acoustic versions of “Positive Charge” and “History Books”. The EP will be out on March 22 via Thirty Tigers. The band have also announced North American tour dates for this summer. Joyce Manor will be joining them on all dates with The Dirty Nil and Pinkshift joining them on select dates. The Gaslight Anthem are currently touring the UK and Europe and released their album History Books in 2023. Check out the announcement video and dates below.

Music: Watertank announce new album

French post-hardcore band Watertank have announced their 4th album, titled Liminal Status. The release will be out on April 5th, 2024. The band currently has 2 songs up, their title track and "Cut Gum", see below to check it out.

Nashville-based Jorts Fest has announced its lineup for this year. Dollar Signs, Devon Kay and The Solutions, New Junk City, Doom Gong, The Dreaded Laramie, Soot, Massie99, Khamsin, Mouth Reader, Dad Hats, Ghost Town Remedy, Dustbin, Pink and Black Records, 95Corolla, Together Breakfast, Nowhere Fast, Boy Clothes, A-Okay, Hussy Fit, Dreadmill, Smallville, Panda Forces, Big, If True, Sunflowerkink, Big Computer, Aconundrum, Merit, Oversight, David Daniel Parker, John Dennis, Abbdavv, Half Gallen and the Milk Jugs, Rich Ridgell, Brian Milligram, The Mad Sugars, and Black Guy Fawkes will be playing the festival. Jorts Fest will take place May 31 and June 1 at The Cobra in Nashville, TN.

Black Flag to go on 'First Four Years' tour

This summer, Black Flag will go on tour and play all of the iconic First Four Years compilation, as well as other tracks. Right now, the band is wrapping up a similarly themed My War tour. The tour starts August 1 and runs through August 25 so far, but additional dates are expected to be added. Black Flag 2024 includes founding member Greg Ginn, singer Mike Vallely who joined in 2013, bassist Austin Sears who joined in 2023, and drummer Charles Wiley who joined in 2022. Ginn is the only member of the band that appears on The First Four Years. You can see the dates here.
