Tours: American Football announce 'LP1' 25th anniversary shows

American Football have announced that they will be playing a handful of US shows to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their 1999 self-titled debut album. Tickets for this run of shows will go on sale on March 15. Check out the dates below.

Sham Family have released a video for their new song “Modern Myth”. The video was filmed, directed, and edited by Bee Pethick. The song is available digitally now via Wavy Haze Records. Sham Family released their self-titled EP in 2022. Check out the video below.

Tours: Weezer announce 'Blue Album' 30th anniversary tour (US and Canada)

Weezer have announced tour dates to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Blue Album (their self-titled debut album). The band will be playing the album in full on all dates and will be joined by The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr. The band will also be playing a show playing the album in full on March 15 at the Lodge Room in Los Angeles with Dogstar (Keanu Reeves’s band). That show has sold out. Tickets for the tour go on sale on March 15. Check out the dates below.

Heavenly Blue: "We Have The Answer"

Heavenly Blue have released a new song called “We Have The Answer”. The song is off their upcoming debut album of the same name which will be out on April 12 via Secret Voice. We spoke to Mel, Jon, and Drewabout it last month. Heavenly Blue are currently touring the US with Frail Body, will be playing Pug Fest 2 in Michigan in June, and will be playing New Friends Fest in Toronto in August. Check out the song below.

Neneh Cherry to release memoir

Neneh Cherry has announced that she will be releasing a memoir. It is called A Thousand Threads and is 352 pages. The description for the book reads in part, “Neneh takes readers from the charming old schoolhouse in the woods of Sweden where she grew up, to the village in Sierra Leone that was birthplace of her biological father, to the early punk scene in London and New York, to finding her identity with her stepfather’s family in Watts, California. Neneh has lived an extraordinary life of connectivity and creativity and she recounts in intimate detail how she burst onto the scene as a teenager in the punk band The Slits, and went on to release her first album in 1989 with a worldwide hit single ‘Buffalo Stance’.” The book will be out on October 3 via Fern Press and Scribner.

Strategies: "Morning Shore"

Strategies, the band made up of Brian Moss (The Ghost, Great Apes, Hanalei), Neil Hennessy (The Lawrence Arms), and Paul Lask (The Ghost), have released a new song. It is called “Morning Shore” and is available digitally now. Strategies released their self-titled EP in 2022. Check out the song below.

Festivals & Events: Green Day, Offspring, more to play Calabash South Africa 2025

South African music festival Calabash has announced its first wave lineup of bands for this year. Green Day, The Offspring, and Fokof Polisiekar will be playing the festival. Calabash South Africa will take place on January 19, 2025 at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg and January 23, 2025 at DHL Stadium in Cape Town.

Queen of Jeans announce new album, release "Horny Hangover" video

Queen of Jeans have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called All Again and will be out on June 28 via Memory Music. The band has also released a video for their new song “Horny Hangover” which was directed by the band and Bob Sweeney. Queen of Jeans released their EP Hiding In Place in 2022 and released their album If you’re not afraid, I’m not afraid in 2019. Check out the video and tracklist below.
