Laura Jane Grace to release new EP with Matt Patton and Mikey Erg

Last night, Laura Jane Grace played Philadelphia with Matt Patton on bass and Mikey Erg on drums. During the set, LJG mentioned that the reason the collaboration happened was because, about ten years ago, "some people" were very interested in making the collaboration happen. LJG then continued to say that, while she just released a new album, she has also recorded a five track EP with Mikey and Matt. The room was somewhat noisy due to the nature of a live punk show, but the anme of the band for that release will be something along the lines of "Laura Jane Grace and the [something] medics." We'll keep you updated.

Carolinas-based post-hardcore band Excide have released a video for their new song “Dis(re)member”. The video was directed and produced by Tyler Norris of Foreign Hands. The song is off their dual single Humdinger which also includes their new song “All Down But 9” and is out now via SharpTone Records. Excide released their album Deliberate Revolver in 2022. Broken Gold have released a new song. It is called “Bad Days” and features singer-songwriter Alejandro Escovedo (who played in The Nuns). Festivals & Events: Stop The Presses, Common Sense Kid, more added to SPI Fest 2024

SPI Fest has announced its final wave lineup for this year’s festival. Stop The Presses, Common Sense Kid, Jokers Republic, Take Today, Flip and the Combined Effort, Checked Past: The Ska’d Cast, Ghost Tones, and Solgyres will now be playing the festival. They join the previously announced lineup which includes Catbite, Hans Gruber and The Die Hards, BONDBREAKR, The Best of The Worst, Mega Infinity, Eevie Echoes and the Locations, Call Me Malcolm, and PWRUP. SPI Fest will take place at 25 Central Street in Windsor, CT on May 17-18.

Pillow Queens release video for "Like A Lesson"

Pillow Queens have released a video for their new song “Like a Lesson”. The video features artwork by Jacob Stack and was edited by Seamus Hart. The song is off their upcoming album Name Your Sorrow which will be out on April 19 via Royal Mountain Records. Pillow Queens will be touring the UK and Ireland in June and released their album Leave The Light On in 2022. Check out the video below.
