Festivals & Events: S.H.I.T., Buggin, Friction, more to play More Reality Hardcore Weekend 2024

Toronto-based More Reality Hardcore Weekend has announced its lineup for this year. Diztort, S.H.I.T., Friction, Mil-Spec, Exhibition, Firewalker, Wild Side, Béton Armé, Buggin, Violent Way, Grand Scheme, Fastmusic, Faze. Collateral, Real World, Beyond The Pale, Narcan, All 4 All, Street Hassle, Badbet, Big Dog, BFD, Justify, and Yield To None will be playing the festival. More Reality Hardcore Weekend will take place at 1978 Dundas St West in Toronto, Ontario on April 5-6.

Interviews: Getting a clue with Mel, Jon, and Drew of Heavenly Blue

Michigan-based Heavenly Blue have been wowing audiences across North America with their excellent style of screamo since their formation in 2022 and they haven’t looked back since. The seven-piece band has harnessed their incredible energy and channeled it into their upcoming debut album We Have The Answer which finds them sharpening their sound. We Have The Answer will be out everywhere on April 12 via Secret Voice. Heavenly Blue will be touring the US with Frail Body starting in March, playing Pug Fest 2 in Michigan in June, and playing New Friends Fest in Toronto in August. Punknews editor Em Moore caught up with vocalist Mel Caren, bassist Jon Riley, and drummer Drew Coughlin over Zoom to talk about their upcoming album, the first full year of the band, playing New Friends Fest, getting banned from TikTok, and so much more. Sum 41 have released a new song called “Waiting On A Twist Of Fate”. The song is off their upcoming final album Heaven :x: Hell which will be out on March 29 via Rise Records. Worriers release video for "Top 5"

Worriers have released a video for their song “Top 5”. The video was directed by Gavin Murray and was edited by Lauren Denitzio. The song is off their album Trust Your Gut which was released in 2023. Worriers will be touring the North America with Alkaline Trio starting in and will be touring North America (including a stop at Pouzza Fest) with Laura Jane Grace in May. Check out the video below.

Carpool have released a lyric video for their song “No News Is Good News”. The video was directed by Dustin Hayes.
