Don’t let your kids see the new ‘Imaginary’ trailer

It’s hard to imagine (lol), but a Blumhouse horror flick might sink John Krasinski’s chances at hitting the top of the pops with a new IP. We’d joke about “biting the genre that feeds you” here, but Office Jim did his directorial work for Michael Bay at Platinum Dunes, not for Jason Blum and company. But, really, it was a coup on the part of Lionsgate and Blumhouse to preempt Krasinski’s If, a warm and cuddly Ryan Reynolds-led comedy about […]

Mic’d Up: Theo Von, Scott Thompson, Boston Comedy Blowout

Editor’s Note: The shot clock has been reset and we’re in the early innings of a brand new year. However, we all know just how grey and cold the winter months can feel once the holidays wrap up, so comedy is continuing to do the Lord’s work by giving us something to smile (or groan, wince, or gasp) at.
For decades, filler phrases like “I guess” have sent shivers up the spines of linguistic snobs. But in the hands of CD Rose, the words are less of a mutter and more like ammunition.
