One quirk of the release calendar is that some movies exist in a kind of flux, living as Untitled Whatever Movie in a Schrodinger’s Cat-like status, where it might exist or might not. If it’s an Untitled Paul Thomas Anderson Movie, you know it’s going to come out (the guy takes his sweet-ass time choosing a title), but if it’s an Untitled Universal Horror Film, there’s a decent shot it’ll get punted off the calendar once other dates firm up. Today we are thrilled to bring you the premiere of the new video by Wes Hoffman and Friends! The video is for their new song “A Minute To Breathe” which is off their upcoming debut album How It Should Be. Speaking about the song, Wes Hoffman said, ”This is a song about living in the moment, but also touching on how hard it can be to do that. When I wrote this song, I had a whole mix of emotions that was really keeping me from finding peace in the present moment. I was either focusing on the past or future too much and not appreciating the moment. It’s so easy to get sucked into overthinking everything, that we have to remind ourselves to take a minute to breathe. This is one of the fastest songs on our new album. I was listening to a lot of 90s skate punk at the time and wanted to pay a little homage to that era of punk. At the same time, I wanted to stay true to our sound and have a catchy chorus with some ‘whoa-ohs’ in the background. The video is simply a montage of a bunch of shows we played all over this year. We did so much traveling, I wanted to share some of the clips and places we’ve been. We also added an extra voice during the bridge and final chorus. You can clearly hear Christi Unterseh from Clueless belting out a counter-melody which just put an exclamation point on the song!” How It Should Be will be available everywhere on February 23 via Jump Start Records and you can pre-order it right here. The BPMs are so new that the paint is still drying on their logo. We believe that this was their 2nd show. However Eric, Atom and Mic are all veterans of the Bay Area music scene, and bring tight poppy punk.
Flexx Bronco don’t play so often anymore, as one of the members moved to Southern California. They’ve been around since 2001, and consistently bring driving hard rock, so we catch them when we can.

It didn’t take long for 2024 to deliver its first truly great album of the young year. It took five fucking days, to be exact. The mighty force kicking down the door on ’24 comes from SPRINTS, the fiery Irish punk quartet who unleashed debut album Letter To Self this past Friday (January 5) via City Slang. With a sound that blends the grime of fellow Dubliners The Murder Capital with the grit of Savages and more familiar shadow-spun classics […]
