Hans Gruber and the Die Hards release videos for Monkees and Ramshackle Glory covers

Hans Gruber and the Die Hards have released videos for their cover of “Die Alone, Live Together (Born To Lose)” by Ramshackle Glory and for their cover of The Monkees’ “Randy Scouse Git”. The video for “Die Alone, Live Together (Born To Lose)” was shot live by Jim McKay at their New Year’s Eve show at Kick Butt Coffee in Austin, Texas and also features footage from the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests. Both covers are available on the deluxe version of their 2022 album With a Vengeance which is out now via Ska Punk International. Hans Gruber and the Die Hards will be touring the UK and Europe with Tsunami Bomb in the spring. Check out the videos below.

Sled Island has announced its first wave lineup for this year. Show Me The Body (who is also the festival’s guest curator), Soul Glo, Tomb Mold, Cherry Glazerr, Mick Jenkins, Kari Faux, Planet Giza. W.I.T.C.H., Laurel Halo, Forest Swords, Wombo, Sarah Davachi, Lael Neale, Irreversible Entanglements, Malcolm Mooney and the Eleventh Planet, Wifigawd, Lucy (Cooper B Handy), LustSickPuppy, NGTCRWLR, Ethereal Tomb, Kue Varo and The Only Hopes, Brain Bent, Ginger Beef, Tea Fannie and The Collective, and Stem Champ will be playing the festival. Sled Island will take place June 19-23 across various venues in Calgary, Alberta.

NOFX announce final shows with Lagwagon, Subhumans, Bad Cop/Bad Cop, more to join (California)

NOFX have announced the dates and first wave lineup for their final shows ever. These shows will take place across three dates in October in San Pedro, California. MxPx, Bouncing Souls, Buzzcocks, Lagwagon, Subhumans, Strung Out, Sick Of It All, Good Riddance, Codefendants, The Flatliners, Swingin’ Utters, DOA, Mad Caddies, DI, Luicidal, Bad Cop/Bad Cop, Get Dead, We Are The Union, The Last Gang, Poli Van Dam, and Das Klowns will be playing. The daily lineups have yet to be announced. NOFX will be touring Japan starting in March, touring Europe starting in May, and will be touring North America starting in July. The band released Double Album in 2022. Check out the dates below.

Planet on A Chain have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called Culture of Death and will be out on April 5 via Revelation Records. The friendly people at Coffin Curse Records have announced plans to release a NOFX tribute album called I Heard They Broke Up!!, and we’re pleased to give you an exclusive sneak peak of what’s to come. The comp’s gonna feature a shitload of NOFX covers, including the one we’re premiering today; check out Reckless Threat‘s take on “Hobophobic” down below.

I Heard They Broke Up!! is due out on March 29th – a few of the other bands contributing tracks include Latte+ (from Italy!), New Clear Future (from West Virginia!), and The Kutoffs (from the exotic land of Lakeland, Florida!). It’ll be getting a physical release on vinyl (pre-orders starting February 23rd) and CD, as well as a digital release on Coffin Curse’s Bandcamp. That snazzy picture at the top of this post is the cover art. Take a brief moment to admire it in all its glory.
