Sublime With Rome to begin recording new album by the end of this year

Sublime With Rome frontman and guitarist Rome Ramirez has apparently told Inland Empire Weekly that the band is going to start recording a new album by the end of the year. While he did not give any information about the record, Rome commented on both the band’s future and new music:

“We plan on taking the band as far as we can take it. We will always, always, always retain the roots of the band, play their classic music and stay within the vein on new songs, but we will also challenge ourselves as artists to grow.”

Sublime With Rome last released Yours Truly in July 2011 on Fueled By Ramen. Drummer Bud Gaugh left the band five months after its release, and was replaced by Josh Freese (The Vandals, Devo, Guns N’ Roses, A Perfect Circle, touring member of Nine Inch Nails, and session musician of The OffspringSocial DistortionSuicidal Tendencies, etc.).
