The Dying Scene’s Readers’ Poll: Top 10 Anticipated Punk Albums of 2012

As 2011 is slowly coming to an end several of us took time to start looking ahead to what is shaping up to be a great year for punk rock in 2012. We’ve compiled a top 10 list of the most anticipated album releases likely to hit record stores next year. The results come from a question we posted on Facebook yesterday called “What new album(s) from your favorite band do you look forward to hearing next year?

Bands like NOFX, Bad ReligionRancidThe Bouncing SoulsThe Offspring and Bad Brains should give you an idea of just how much awesome music we have to look forward to. PennywisePropagandhi, MxPx and No Use for a Name also joined the ranks. So without further ado, we present to you the 10 bands fans are most looking forward to seeing releases from in 2012.     I’m personally stoked for Green Day. 2012 is going to be the new 1994.

    (That said, I’m still waiting on new Cobra Skulls and Dead to Me before I begin thinking about next year).

    MxPx lost their drummer Yuri, NUFAN lost Dave on guitar and Rory on drums, Pennywise lost Jim on vocals, NOFX haven’t released anything good since Punk in Drublic… my No1 on the list is (with full lineup) BAD RELIGION !!!

    You had a band in th “spotlight” 2 or 3 weeks ago. I meant to buy the disc but….memory failed…and now I can’t remember their name. (In the vain of skate punk….nofx..pennywie…) I think their cd cover was Green….don’t hold me to it. Thanks.,…Great Site!
