Hell yes! Scottish Canadian punk rockers and whiskey bandits The Real McKenzies have just announced that their new album “Westwinds” will be released March 27th, 2012 on Fat Wreck Chords! Check out a bigger image of the the cover art (pictured to the left) right here!
Piper Gord “Taylor” McKenzie declared that the “main idea for Westwinds was to create an all-electric album for our fans…and to release a great collection of songs that would not only make all of us McKenzies proud, but to also make that point that we’re not going anywhere anytime soon.” I’m totally stoked to know the McKenzies aren’t going anywhere…except on a giant European tour!
The last release from The Real McKenzies was the all acoustic live album “Shine Not Burn” released June 22nd, 2010 on Fat Wreck Chords. Their last studio album was “Off the Leash”, released August 5th of 2008 also on Fat Wreck Chords.
