Tim Timebomb and Friends stream cover of The Rainbows’ “If You See Mary Lee”

Holy shit, It looks like we actually forgot to post the Tim Timebomb and Friends song of the day yesterday! Well, better late than never, I suppose… The song’s a cover of an old-ass song called “If You See Mary Lee” by an old-ass band called The Rainbows. Here’s what Timothy had to say about it:

“This song was first released as simply “Mary Lee” by the Rainbows on Boston’s Pilgrim Records in 1956. Then, two years later they re-recorded it and called it “If You See Mary Lee” which was the first single for the Los Angeles record label Firefly (Jan-Lar) Records in 1958. Firefly (Jan-Lar) put out singles in 1958 like How Will I Know by The Strands, Car Crash by the Cadets, and tunes by the Castle-Tones,The Ontarios, and the Rocketeers. This is our take on If You See Mary Lee.

Happy 4th of July everyone.”
