Video footage of Suicidal Tendencies‘ entire September 23rd, 1989 performance at the Country Club in Reseda, California was recently uploaded on YouTube (by user “Heavy Metal Relics”), and you can give it a watch below.
According to setlist.fm, the concert was part of the heavy metal convention Foundations Forum, and was Suicidal Tendencies’ first performance in L.A. since they were banned from playing there in the mid-80’s, as well as their first show in the United States with then-new bassist Robert Trujillo. According to L.A. Times, the show was opened up by fellow Venice crossover thrashers Excel, who were promoting their second album The Joke’s on You.
Suicidal Tendencies’ latest studio album, World Gone Mad, was released nearly a month ago, and is their first album since 2013’s 13. It’s also the band’s first with the new lineup of Mike Muir, Dean Pleasants, Jeff Pogan, Ra Diaz and Dave Lombardo.
