Wade MacNeil (Alexisonfire) confirmed as Gallows new singer

In a strange turn of events shortly after Canadian rockers Alexisonfire announced that they will play some last headlining shows, Alexisonfire guitarist / vocalist Wade MacNeil has been confirmed as the new vocalist for U.K. hardcore-punk act Gallows. Their previous vocalist Frank Carter left the band last July due to creative differences and formed a new band called Pure Love.

In a recent interview MacNeil explains how he ended up in the band:

After the boys decided they were going to keep going, my name kind of popped up, and they all thought it made sense. It didn’t overcomplicate itself.  I talked to Steph [Carter, guitarist], and I said I was definitely interested. He pretty much said, “Okay, let’s do it,” and I got on a plane and we’re writing right now.

More details regarding how Wade MacNeil thinks he will fit in, why he was chosen and how the thinks fans will react can be read in the full interview.
