"For The People" - Dropkick Murphys

Release Date: July 04, 2025 Record Label: Born & Bred Records Release Type: LP

The boys are back, and they’re looking for trouble!

Beloved Boston punk rock stalwarts Dropkick Murphys have never been a band to shy away for standing up for the under class and the working man and calling out fascists on their bullshit. Given that there’s plenty of fodder coming from every direction, it seems the perfect time for Ken Casey and crew to release their thirteenth full-length record. Entitled For The People – naturally – the album is billed as “an expression of humanity at a time of relentless dehumanization, a promise of hope in an era fueled by fear-mongering, a declaration of solidarity in an age of disunion, a defiant rebuttal to the charlatans and demagogues who seek to divide us for their own power and profit.”

The album features the band’s recent core lineup – Casey on vocals joined by Tim Brennan on like half a dozen instruments, Jeff DaRosa on a bunch of other instruments, Matt Kelly on drums, James Lynch on guitars, Kevin Rheault on bass and Campbell Webster on pipes – joined by a handful of noteworthy friends, from Billy Bragg to Pennywise’s Fletcher Dragge to The Scratch to…the return of Al Barr!

For The People hits all the normal streaming services on July 4th; you can pre-save it now. It hits all the traditional physical stores on CD and LP on October 10th – you can pre-order it now too.
