Social Distortion has scrapped Pain, Death and Love’s Lost Cause as the projected title of their new album. Last Tuesday (July 27th) at the The Chance in Poughkeepsie, New York, Mike Ness decided to spill his guts and revealed that the new album actually will be called Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes. Social Distortion will embark full US tour this fall in support of their new album. As previously reported, the band has announced that drummer Scott Reeder has left the band to fully focus on his main project, Fu Manchu. Replacing Reeder on the drum kit will be Dave Hidalgo Jr., formerly of Suicidal Tendencies, Spinnerette and The Drips.
Social D recently signed to Epitaph Records, who will release the new album, which will be their first of all new material since 2004’s Sex, Love and Rock ‘n’ Roll, and the band’s first release of any kind since 2007’s Greatest Hits.
