Sharp/Shock last released Unlearn Everything on June 10th, 2016. According to Dan Smith, “For me, Youth Club is a pure and honest representation of us as people and players, it’s another step further for Sharp/Shock and pushes the boundaries slightly, without straying from what we do. There are a couple more aggressive songs like ‘Bad Lad’ and ‘Steps,’ but I love that it’s balanced out by songs like ‘Dancing All Night’ and ‘Walking A Thin Line.’ Lyrically, songs like ‘Just Can’t Get My Head Around It’ and ‘Nuclear Family’ are my favorites—just real life issues that will hopefully get people thinking.”

The album is available for purchase here, or you can stream the entire album here.

What would a Tuesday be without a reference to maple syrup, Celine, or poutine? So here we go, pull out the good syrup, throw on some Celine and head to your favorite fry truck because Cancer Bats, The Flatliners and Heart Attack Kids have announced a pair of shows in Kingston and Barrie for September.

No word on if these guys will extend the tour beyond these two dates but it’s probably a safe bet. So if you want to check these guys out in an intimate setting join me on September 20th in Kingston, Ontario at The Mansion for a great show.

The most recent release from the Cancer Bats is The Spark That Moves released earlier this year.
