Female alternative/punk rock legends L7 have announced that they are in the studio recording their first album in nearly 20 years, planned for release next year via Don Giovanni Records.

The band writes:

“After having an amazingly great experience with our L7 reunion tour in 2015 as well the release of a documentary on our band, “L7: Pretend We’re Dead”, the band felt inspired to do some songwriting and return to the studio once again. The end results were recording the tracks “Dispatch From Mar-a-Lago” and “I Came Back to Bitch”. Our first new tunes in 18 years!

We’ve had such a blast hanging out, writing, and recording with each other again that we decided to keep the ball rolling. More song ideas have been flowing out of us every time we get together and play, so we’ve decided to make a full length album which we will record this year.”

Even though the new record won’t be released until next year, you can pre-order it now via PledgeMusic.

L7 called it quits back in 2001, but reunited 14 years later. Their last full-length record Slap Happy was released in 1999.

SLC feel-good homie MCKC is streaming their latest EP, IS OK, in full, track by track. The official release is April 14th (tomorrow), however, MCKC has put it up for streaming ahead of its worldwide drop date.

Barcelona punks Fastloud have released a music video for their single “Wrong Drunk Fight.” The music video is an official clip of their most recent tour, “Walkman ReTour”, which saw the band tour around 5 cities in Spain: Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, Gijón, and Vitoria.

The band says they had a good experience and judging by the video clips it was way more than that. Check it out below.

Ontario punk band The Creeps are streaming a brand new song off of their upcoming album, Beneath The Pines. The song is called “Shimmer” and you can take a listen to it below.

The group last released a split with No Marks in 2016. Beneath The Pines is scheduled for release later this year.

Oregon punk band Abolitionist have released another track from their upcoming album, The Instant. The track is called “Trouble” and is just as political and dark as you would think it is. The 97 second ripper packs a lot of themes in to one, tied together by modern struggles. If anything is a good indicator of the rest of the album, this is it.

Abolitionist’s last release was “The Pinnacle” EP in 2017.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from UK-based folk punk badass Louise Distras; too long, if you ask me. But the wait is finally just about over!

Distras holed up at a studio in Oakland, California, with producer Ross Petersen (Bruce Springsteen, The Vamps) and with The Business’s Steve Whale for work on a full-length follow-up to her 2015 debut, Dreams From The Factory Floor. The first of the fruits of those labors are now upon us, as today marks the unveiling of the new track, “Land Of Dope And Glory.” Check it out below!

Dreams From The Factory Floor was released in the States on Pirates Press Records. The new album is due out this fall!

Offspring and 311 are heading out on a nationwide US tour featuring Gym Class Heroes. The Never Ending Summer Tour begins in Mountain View, CA on July 25th and wraps up over a month later in Wichita, KS on September 9th. You can check out the full list of tour dates below.

The Offspring have not had a new release since 2012’s “Days Go By”. 311 last released “Mosaic” in 2017.
