Connecticut emo/rock act The World is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die have announced the release of a new album. “Always Foreign” is out on Epitaph on September 29th. “When we started writing we were fresh off Trump being elected, so there’s an anger to the album that’s different from what we’ve done in the past,” says TWIABP vocalist David F Bello. “There’s a lot more resistance thinking throughout the songs—not in a way that’s strictly anti-Trump, but also addressing things like white supremacy and controlling elements of the state.”
To mark the announcement, the band are streaming advance track “Dillon And Her Son” over at The Fader. The album is the followup to 2015’s “Harmlessness”.

“We’re excited and relieved to finally be releasing new music, and doing so through our friends label Lockjaw Records” exclaimed founding member and guitarist, Ant Harrison. “We’ve actually been sitting on this EP for a while because it was written in the context of full length, but it made sense to record our six strongest songs to release for our Punk Rock Holiday appearance.”

The Wonder Years have announced the upcoming release of an acoustic EP. “Burst & Decay” will be co-released with Hopeless Records and through a new venture created by the band called Loneliest Place On Earth. Vocalist Dan Campbell on the plan:
“To whom it may concern,
We’ve begun a new venture. I’m hesitant to give it a title because I don’t want to limit what it could become but, for now, I’m going to call it a collective – an avenue for music and art and writing and performance. The first order of business will be to pair up with Hopeless Records to co-release an acoustic EP we recorded in May called ‘Burst & Decay’. In the coming months and years, we’ll be rolling out releases, artists and events. The seeds are being planted. This is just the beginning but for now, thank you. We love you. We’ll see you soon.”

Not often we hear something from a completely unknown group that absolutely blows us away. Believe us, we listen to a lot of punk– and news flash: not all of it’s good. But 24 Hour Punks, discovered through a lucky click on bandcamp, is incredible. Think fast, intense melodic punk that lands somewhere between hard-hitting 90s skate and Cock Sparrer. It’s a powerful concoction for a debut EP.
Even better, there’s a story behind it. As the band’s name suggests, Why We Fight was written, rehearsed, and recorded in 24 hours. All proceeds go to charity organization AMMF.
We’re not kidding! Check out the three song EP and listen to 24 Hour Punks raise the bar here.
