Social Distortion loses drummer (rumor), going on tour (non-rumor)

There has apparently been some confusion over whether or not drummer Scott Reeder has left Social Distortion. According to a post on the message board of fan site SxDx.com, Scott has not left his band Fu Machu, who plans to tour later this year, and only joined Social Distortion for the South American tour, sort of meaning that he will not be present on the band’s next tour. Until we hear something more from an official source this will stay classified as a “rumor”.

Social Distortion, who is currently in the middle of finishing their new album – the follow up to 2004’s Sex, Love and Rock ‘n’ Roll – and recently signed to Epitaph Records, will tour the U.S. this summer with Dan Sartain and The Action Design. The tour kicks off July 27 in Poughkeepsie, NY and makes seven stops in the Northeast before the band heads to Chicago for an August 7 main stage performance at this year’s Lollapalooza. Dates with Dan Sartain and The Action Design resume in Green Bay, Wisconsin on August 8.
