Social Distortion confirm new album release date?

Last July, punk legends Social Distortion revealed that their long overdue new album would be called “Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes”. Well, according to the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine, what appears to be the official release date of the new album has been announced. The magazine claims that it’s been scheduled for an American release date of November 23. However, there has so far been no official confirmation on these reports, but we expect to keep you posted.

Social Distortion will embark full US tour this fall in support of the new record. As previously reported, the band has announced that drummer Scott Reeder has left the band to fully focus on his main project, Fu Manchu. Replacing Reeder on the drum kit will be Dave Hidalgo Jr., formerly of Suicidal Tendencies, Spinnerette and The Drips.

“Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes” will be Social D’s their first release on Epitaph Records, who will release the new album, which will be their first of all new material since 2004’s Sex, Love and Rock ‘n’ Roll, and the band’s first release of any kind since 2007’s Greatest Hits.
