Teddy Duchamp’s Army is back with their second single, “The Sinking Ship,” from the upcoming record … The Spirit Never Dies. Guitarist Mike Rock had this to say about their classic-sounding punk rock song:
“We aren’t a very politically themed band generally, we have dabbled here and there in the past into social and political themes, but it’s hard not to speak to what is happening in the streets everyday with militarized police kidnapping and killing with absolute immunity, coupled with an economic attack on working families and a wealth gap between the upper and lower classes widening faster than ever before. “We are a country run by pedophile oligarchs with a bloodlust for resources and power, led by an incontinent sociopathic, narcissist who probably couldn’t pass a 7th-grade equivalency test.”
…The Spirit Never Dies is set for release on October 9, 2026, through Creep Records and Sweet Cheetah Records stateside, with Engineer Records (UK) and Scene Police (Germany/Europe) handling international distribution.
