Small Brown Bike is heading on tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Dead Reckoning. The Casket Lottery and Suzzallo will be joining them on select runs of dates. See below to view the tour dates.
There is a lot going on in the world of Sleep. The band is back. However, the lineup has shifted. Al Cisneros is still in the group. However, Matt Pike is not in the band. Though as per the group, "Al wishes Matt the best on his earth bound maneuvers.." The new lineup includes Dale Crover of Melvins on drums and Bubba Dupree on guitar. They are going on tour. They will release a comic book (written by the band's own Al Cisneros) that comes with a flexi disc. Third man records is putting out the comic and flexi. As per Third Man: "Here begins the saga of The Marijuanaut. An adventure which takes the reader to Planet Iommia, encounters with The Weedian, and introduces the traveller to Iommia’s deeper reverential practices, and more that resonates within the universe that Cisneros's lyrics created from the riff filled lands of Sleep’s discography. Illustrated by artists Dave Kloc and Arik Roper, the comic is 24 pages of original black and white interior art plus a full color cover jacket, all in the spirit of the mighty Conan, Star Wars, and KISS comics of the ‘70s." Brian Fallon and The Painkillers have announced tour dates. The band will be touring North America and Europe with the dates this fall. Emily Wolfe, Dave Hause, Donovan Woods, Ben Nicols, Tim Barry, and Chris Farren will be playing on select dates. These dates join his previously announced US shows for later this month. Brian Fallon will be releasing his new album Not Bad For New Jersey on September 10 via Lesser Known Records. Check out the dates below.
Quebec City-based music festival Envol et Macadam has announced its lineup for this year. Bad Religion, Hatebreed, Les Goules, DVTR, Satanic Surfers, Guttermouth, A Wilhelm Scream, Mute, Death By Stereo, MakeWar, Cross Dog, General Chaos, Fair Do’s, Penny and the Pits, Doghouse Rose, Poolgirl, Killing Daisies, Dogo Suicide, Ruby Slipper, and The Leftovers are among the bands playing the festival. Envol et Macadam will take place September 10-12 at several venues around Quebec City, including Agora du Port de Quebec, L’Anti Bar and Spectacles, Le Scanner, La Salle Montaigne du Campus du Charlesbourg, La Source de la Martiniere, and Le Knock-Out. Truck Violence have released a video for their new song “Gerard, be quiet”. The song is off their album The weathervane is my body which will be out on June 26 via Mothland and The Flenser. The band has also announced North American tour dates for this fall. The tour begins on September 10 in Burlington, Vermont and wraps up on December 12 in Quebec City.
