Ottawa-based emo rockers SOURPUSSY have released a new song. It is called “roadkill” and is available digitally now. This is the second single the band has released so far this year, following “wheezin’ in the moshpit”. SOURPUSSY released two songs in 2024. Check out the song below.

Streetlight Manifesto have issued an update on their new album. The short story is that the record is not finished. However, the band does plan to release half of it (5 songs) next week via digital streaming services. Regarding the delay, singer Tomas Kalnoky stated: "The truth is, it’s a complicated stew of personal and private circumstances, precisely the things I’ve never felt comfortable discussing in a public forum, much less on the internet. There have been events in my life that have prevented me from writing pages and pages of lyrics that are honest and songs that I would feel comfortable performing for years, long after the issues that have complicated and made my life difficult have passed. I know it’s not a very satisfying answer, I know it’s cryptic, but I am just asking for a little more time and patience to get what I feel I have to get done, done."You can see the full statement below.

Doghouse Rose have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called Born To Break Even and will be out on July 31 via Stomp Records. The band has also released a video for the title track. Doghouse Rose released Unlearn in 2023. Check out the video below.

Soji have released a new song. It is called “U.S.O.P.” and is the first song with their new vocalist Jae Taylor. The song is available digitally now. Soji released their split with Winter Wolf in 2024 and released their EP SUPERVILLAINS in 2023. Check out the song below.
