Interviews: Talking 'Halloween Mixtape II' with Freddie Criales of Magnolia Park

After dropping two EPs, SoulEater and MoonEater, in August Orlando’s Magnolia Park are getting ready to release their new album Halloween Mixtape II later this month. On the self-described “spiritual counterpart” to the first Halloween Mixtape (which was released in 2021) the band showcases how much they’ve grown over the course of 17 tracks. They incorporate elements of phonk, pop-punk, hip-hop, nu-metal, and emo as they explore anxiety, heartbreak, the political state of the US, and much more along with offering four special tips for the Halloween season. Halloween Mixtape II will be out on October 27 via Epitaph Records and Magnolia Park will be touring the US starting later this week.Punknews editor Em Moore caught up with guitarist Freddie Criales over Zoom to talk about the new album, building the Magnolia Park fictional universe, Halloween, and so much more. Clowns: “Z3r0s&0n3s”

Clowns have released a lyric video for their new song “Z3r0s&0n3s”. The song is off their upcoming album Endless which will be out on October 20 via Fat Wreck Chords. Clowns will be touring Australia in the spring and released their album Nature/Nurture in 2019. Check out the video below.

The Drowns to release new album

The Drowns have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called Blacked Out and will be out on February 16 via Pirate’s Press Records. So far this year The Drowns have released splits with Wonk Unit, The Last Gang, Suzi Moon, and Plizzken.

Tours: The Gaslight Anthem release video for "Autumn", announce EU and UK tour

The Gaslight Anthem have released a video for their song “Autumn”. The video features animation by Dan King. The song is off their upcoming album History Books which will be out on October 27. The band has also announced tour dates for Europe and the UK for next year. The Gaslight Anthem are currently touring the US and released Get Hurt in 2014. Check out the video and dates below.

Magnolia Park release two new songs

Magnolia Park have released two new songs called “Life in the USA” and “Antidote”. “Life in the USA” features TX2 and “Antidote” features Kailee Morgue. Both songs are off their upcoming album Halloween Mixtape II which will be out on October 27 via Epitaph Records. Magnolia Park will betouring the US starting later this week and released their EPs SoulEater and MoonEater earlier this year. Check out the songs below.
