Erica Dawn Lyle announces new album, releases cover of "War Pigs"

Former touring guitarist for Bikini Kill, Erica Dawn Lyle, has announced a new solo album. It is called Sympoiesis and will be out on April 26. Proceeds from pre-orders of the album will go to Defend the Atlanta Forest. A cover of Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” which was partly recorded live in the Atlanta forest as well as the title track has been released. Erica Dawn Lyle released both Greatest Hits and the benefit album Land Trust: Benefit for NEFOC with Vice Cooler in 2022. Check out the songs below.

Today we are stoked to bring you the premiere of the new single and video by Toronto-based ska band Amy Gabba and The Almost Famous! The video is for “One of My Mistakes”. It was edited by Marty McGowan and features stock footage courtesy of Corby Chapin. Speaking to Punknews about the track, Amy said, “I wrote this song about wanting to do things differently. In life, in relationships, and with this record. As soon as we recorded it, we knew we had something special and everyone involved felt that it should be the first single. It’s also a very hopeful song- which I think sets the tone for this album. Learning from your mistakes and turning pain into power.””One of My Mistakes” is off Amy Gabba and The Almost Famous’ upcoming album Screaming at the Top of My Lungs which will be out June 24 and you can pre-order (and help fund!) it right here . Irish punks Good Friend have released a video for their cover of “Tell Me Ma”. The song is out now as a two-song single along with “Preaching to The Choir” which is out now via Red Scare. Good Friend released The Erin Rose [EP] in 2020. Check out the video and song below.

Heart Attack Man announce new LP, release "Freak of Nature" video

Heart Attack Man have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called Freak of Nature and will be out May 26 via Evil Doer. The band has also released a video for the title track which was directed by Eric Bishop. Heart Attack Man released their EP Thoughtz & Prayerz in 2021 and their album Fake Blood in 2019. Pupil Slicer announce new album, release "Blossom" video

Pupil Slicer have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called Blossom and will be out June 2 via Prosthetic Records. The band has also released a video for the title track which was directed and produced by David Gregory. Pupil Slicer released their album Mirrors in 2021. Check out the video and tracklist below.

Break-ups: Pseudo break up

Toronto-based rockers Pseudo have announced that they are disbanding. The band just finished up a tour with Proper (you can see Stephen McGill's photos of their show at the Hard Luck Bar in Toronto right here!) and announced their breakup on Instagram in a statement that reads, we’re on our way home from tour and we’ll be missing @likerealproper like crazy!! this whole weekend was filled with the best of times with the best of people ~ our hearts are full having been under the name “Pseudo” for so long, it definitely feels bittersweet to leave this name behind since we’ve done so so SO much. but it’s all for the best. what will come next is gonna be something really special and we cannot wait to share this next chapter with you all. please wait for us as we finish our renovations RIP PSEUDO 2010-2023 Pseudo released their album Renovations in 2016.

Swedish melodic punks Nonthewiser come flying out of the starting gates with their self-titled debut album, out now on Melodic Punk Style. This album is a throwback to The Gray Race-era BR, complete with fast, galloping drums and a surplus of vocal harmonies and oozin aahs. They do it all and they do it well.
