Michale Graves signs to Christian music label

Michale Graves, who sang for The Misfits in the '90s but has not been part of the band since the year 2000, has signed a deal with Epochal Artists Records, a label under the TLG family and distributed by Virgin Music Group. (Note that this "E.A.R. music" is different than the European earMUSIC that releases music by Alice Cooper, The Damned, and Iggy Pop). As per Denny Sanders, President of TLG shares, "Epochal Artists Records is a label I’ve had for awhile, and I’ve put out some great rock records under that moniker in the past. My wife always said that it sounded like the name of a Christian label and now it is. This is something I’ve always wanted to do, and I feel the time is right.”As per Graves, "Signing with Epochal Artists Records marks an important new chapter for me in my career. In many ways, it is going back to where I began. The first dream in my heart as a young man was to be a musician and a preacher. That calling has always been part of everything I’ve done along the way to where I find myself today in music and in life. The preacher part might take a minute, but I’ll continue to work on it. Denny Sanders’ vision for developing artists who openly share their faith in Jesus and use music as a testimony aligns perfectly with where I am creatively and spiritually right now. I’m grateful for the opportunity to bring new music—and so much more—forward with a team that believes in using art to glorify God, spread goodwill, and connect with people in a meaningful way.”The label has not issued details for a specific release but we will keep you updated. Neurosis reforms, releases new album

A few years ago, Neurosis announced that not only was the band no more, but they had not been a band for some time because core member Scott Kelly was accused of, and admitted to, being a serial domestic abuser. Since then, the band has been inactive. A few minutes ago, the band announced that they are now active (without Kelly). And they have released a new album. An Undying Love For A Burning World is self-released by the band, which now includes Aaron Turner of Isis. The band states: "We will be playing our first show in seven years on the traditional lands of the Blackfeet Nation in Montana as part of Fire in the Mountains festival by special invitation of Firekeeper Alliance, a non-profit dedicated to reducing youth suicide in Indian Country. This is our only currently scheduled show. We humbly request your presence to join us in this much needed catharsis." You can hear the LP below.

‘Project Hail Mary’ Review: Ryan Gosling, rocks

Spoilers for Project Hail Mary follow. Warned, you have been. It’s kind of a bummer that, in bringing Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary to the screen, screenwriter Drew Goddard (who also penned Ridley Scott’s adaptation of The Martian) and the quality-seal director pair Phil Lord and Chris Miller had to give away the story’s big twist much sooner than in the novel. I can’t describe to you how revelatory that moment was while reading the book a few years ago, […]
