The Flatliners have released a video for their new song “Inner Peace”. The video features animation by William Fredette, photography by Riley Taylor, and original artwork by David Alban Lee. The song is off the band’s upcoming album Cold World which will be out on May 8 via Equal Vision Records and Dine Alone Records. The Flatliners will be touring the US in May, touring Europe in July, touring the UK with A Wilhelm Scream in August, and touring Western Canada with Propagandhi later in August. The Flatliners released their album New Ruin in 2022. Check out the video below.

Afroman has prevailed in the defamation lawsuit brought against him by Adams County, Ohio sheriff's deputies. To bring you up to speed, in 2022, Afroman's house was raided by Adams county sheriff's under the authority of a warrant that alleged that Afroman was part of a narcotics and, surprisingly, kidnapping ring. In the search, police damaged Afroman's gate and smashed down his door. They then searched his house, briefly stopped to savor his mom's poundcake, and took money from his house. They also purposefully disconnected his security cameras during the search. the money was entered into evidence, but when Afroman went to retrieve the money, the amount of money actually received was $400 less than was put on the evidence bag. Police described this as an "accounting error." It was also determined that Afroman had committed no crime, had no illegal drugs in his house, and obviously, was not part of a kidnapping ring. All charges were dropped. Afroman then released a video called "Lemon Pound Cake" where he mocked the police, perhaps, contemplating, eating his lemon pound cake. He then released a few more videos mocking the police in this matter Due to the videos, seven Adam's County sheriff deputies filed a defamation suit against Afroman, collectively asking for about $4 million in damages. The Trial for the matter was this week. During the trial, at which Afroman appeared on the stand, Afroman released a video referencing one of the lead deputy plaintiff's, "Randy Walters is a son of a bitch." Later that week, the jury ruled in favor of Afroman on all claims, thereby granting him total victory in the conflict. After victory, Afroman stated: "It's not only for artists. It's for Americans.We have freedom of speech. They … did me wrong and sued me because I was talking about it."

Earlier this week, CY Fest faced significant challenges because festival founder Ignacio "Nacho" Rodriguera was accused of assault, which he denied. On Tuesday, Scotty Tankcrimes of Tankcrimes records stated that he reached out to Rodriguera and offered to take command of the fest after Rodriguera stepped down. However, on Wednesday, Scotty stated that he was unable to run the festival because there were too many unanswered questions. He then stated that he was stepping down and it appears that the venues themselves are now running the festival.
