Jeff Rosenstock rocked the room at the Virgin Hotel’s 24 Oxford on January 10th, 2023. Las Vegas doesn’t get treated to too much touring bands other than Punk Rock Bowling but Jeff made it clear they were a town too special to skip. Cheekface opened up the show and delighted the crowd with hilarious, quip-filled songs that are just too catchy. The perfect show to kick off 2023.

Jeff Rosenstock and his very rad band kept the crowd jumping and singing along through the entire set. A perfectly paced show filled with heart, enthusiasm, and choruses you just have to shout along with.

Cheekface, or “America’s Local Band” opened the show with their patented witty, lyric-driven indie rock. This band is incredibly funny and smart, with a very sweet community.

Check out a bunch more shots from Jeff Rosenstock’s perfect set here, and Cheekface’s down below!

King Tuff drowns out the noise on new album ‘Smalltown Stardust’

The world is always a slightly better place when there’s a new King Tuff record to get lost in, and this past Friday (January 27) we received a good one via Sub Pop in Smalltown Stardust. Described by Brattleboro native Kyle Thomas as “an album about love and nature and youth,” Smalltown Stardust was co-written and co-produced by SASAMI, and is led by one of the smoothest damn songs of this early 2023, a melodically rich and textured gentle pop-rock cruiser […]

Geoff Rickly of Thursday to release debut novel

Geoff Rickly of Thursday has announced that he will be releasing his first book. It is called Someone Who Isn’t Me. The description of the book reads, ”Geoff Rickly’s debut novel Someone Who Isn’t Me is a feverish journey through the psyche of someone who no longer recognizes himself. When Geoff hears that a drug called ibogaine might be able to save him from his heroin addiction, he goes to a clinic in Mexico to confront the darkest and most destructive versions of himself. In this modern reimagining of the Divine Comedy, survival lurks in the darkest corners of Geoff’s brain, asking, will he make it? Can anyone?” Someone Who Isn’t Me will be out July 25 via Rose Books.
