Tours: Melvinator / Codefendants / Get Dead (UK & EU)

Melvinator, Codefendants, and Get Dead have announced tour dates for Europe and the UK this spring. These dates join their previously announced dates for their upcoming US tour with Zeta as well as their shows supporting NOFX on their final tour. Melvinator will be releasing The Rise of the Melvinator on May 12. Codefendants will be touring the US with Zeta in April, will be supporting NOFX on select dates of their final tour, and recently released their album This Is Crime Wave. Get Dead released their split with Codefendants in 2022 and their album Dancing with the Curse in 2020. Check out the dates below.

Peter Murphy re-schedules Bowie tribute tour

Peter Murphy of Bauhaus was scheduled to front a David Bowie tribute tour organized by Adrian Belew. The tour was set to kick off in a few weeks. However, Peter Murphy has re-scheduled the tour for Fall. His representatives released a statement: "CELEBRATING DAVID BOWIE TOUR WITH PETER MURPHY RESCHEDULED OCTOBER / NOVEMBER WITH ADDITIONAL APPEARANCES ADDEDCelebrating David Bowie has announced that the U.S. tour has been rescheduled to October and November 2023. Singer Peter Murphy has undergone an unexpec"ted medical procedure that prohibits his ability to travel as planned. He is recovering well, will fully recover, and be ready to tour the US with the group this Fall.Initial reconfirmed dates are presented below. The tour producers are diligently exploring all options to stage performances in the cities that have been on-sale, alongside adding other markets due to popular demand. All tickets will be honored on the rescheduled date. "

Festivals & Events: New Friends Fest announce 2023 lineup

Toronto-based DIY music festival New Friends Fest has announced its lineup for this year. Pageninetynine, The HIRS Collective, Cloud Rat, Gulfer, Joie De Vivre, Stay Inside, Boneflower, Habak, Record Setter, Respire, Ostraca, Young Mountain, Life In Vacuum, Coma Regalia, Massa Nera vs Quiet Fear, Eyelet, Piper Maru, .gif from god, Cady, Saton, Hundreds of AU, Heavenly Blue, Crowining, Jetsam, Dreamwell, Roman Candle, Lastima, Fern Sully, and Boxcutter will be playing the festival. New Friends Fest will take place August 4-6 at Lithuanian House in Toronto, Ontario.

Superbloom announce new EP

Brooklyn based alt-rock band Superbloom have announced they will be releasing their new EP, Life's A Blur on June 8th, 2023, which is also available for pre-order. The band also released the first single from the album for you all to check out, see below to listen to "Head First". The album was produced by the band, and recorded by Brian DiMeglio at Brooklyn Recording Paradise with mixing/mastering by Zach Tuch. Joe Keithley of D.O.A. announces new solo album

Joe Keithley of D.O.A. has announced that he will be releasing a new solo album. The album is called Stand and will be out July 25 via Sudden Death Records. An “all star lineup from Canada’s folk scene” will accompany him on all 12 tracks. A video for the first single, “Fentanyl Blues” has also been released. James Dean & The Village Green announce self-titled EP

Kingston, NY based rock project (aka J.D. Fetcho) have released a self-titled five song EP today. The album was originally intended to be demos and was recorded and mixed in Fetcho’s basement by himself and a small cast of friends and family. The songs were mastered by Billy Mannino at Two Worlds Recording Studio.Fetcho is also known for his work in Brooklyn based punk band Answering Machine.
