Spirit of Hamlet, the band made up of Mike Watt of Minutemen, Kawabata Makoto of Acid Mothers Temple, Scotty Irving of Clang Quartet, and Benjy Johnson, have announced that they will be releasing their debut album Northwest of Hamuretto. The album will be out March 17 via Broken Sound Tapes. Three songs from the album have been released. They are “Strike It Rich”, “Sardine $”, and “March of Rain”. Californian music and craft beer festival Punk in The Park has announced the first wave lineup for 2023. Pennywise, Suicidal Tendencies, Strung Out, Fear, Manic Hispanic, Dwarves. The Bronx, Drain, Deviates, Slaughterhouse, and Raptors will be playing. Punk in The Park will take place March 25 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds in Ventura, California.

Tokyo-based hardcore band Kruelty have announced that they will be releasing a new album. The album is called Untopia and will be out March 17 via Profound Lore. The band has also released their first single from the album called “Burn The System”. Kruelty released their split with Terminal Nation, The Ruination of Imperialism, in 2022. It is called “Weekend At Tony’s” and is off their upcoming album New Grame+ which will be out January 20 via Take This To Heart Records. Public Image Limited have announced that they have thrown their hat in the ring to represent Ireland at Eurovision 2023. The band has released the song that they will be performing. It is called “Hawaii” and John Lydon said in a statement that the song “is dedicated to everyone going through tough times on the journey of life, with the person they care for the most.
