On January 9, Vile Creature and Ragana played the Baby G in Toronto, Ontario. Boxcutter opened the show. Vile Creature released their collaboration with Bismuth called A Hymn of Loss and Hope in 2022 and released their album Glory, Glory! Apathy Took Helm! in 2020. Ragana released the remastered versions of All's Lost and Unbecoming in 2022 and We Know That The Heavens Are Empty in 2019. Our photographer Stephen McGill was there to catch all the action. The New Pornographers announce new album, tour dates, release "Really Really Light" video

The New Pornographers have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called Continue as a Guest and will be out March 31 via Merge Records. The band has released a video which was directed by Christian Cerezo for their new song “Really Really Light”. The New Pornographers also announced spring tour dates for the US and Canada. Wild Pink will be joining them on all dates and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of presale tickets will go toward the nonprofit organization Frontera Fund which works to make abortion accessible to all in the Rio Grande Valley. The band released In The Morse Code Of Brake Lights in 2019. Check out the video and tour dates below.

Skullpresser to release debut EP

Skullpresser have announced that their self-titled EP will be out online this Friday, January 13. The band released their debut single “Profit From Pain” in 2022 and their second single “Just a Pig” earlier this month. Check out the announcement below.

Florida based Swamp Cabbage Records and Brooklyn based punk band Up For Nothing have announced the full release of the Under Covered compilation. The comp will feature covers of Beastie Boys "No Sleep Till Brooklyn" by Cover Your Idols, Twisted Sister's "I Am Me" by Higher Giant, Violent Society's "Totally Fucked" by Protagonist, Kid Dynamite's "Showoff / Sweet Shop Syndicate" by After The Fall and much more. Iggy Pop performs "Frenzy" on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Last night, Iggy Pop performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live as the musical guest. He played “Frenzy” from his album Every Loser which came out earlier this month. For this performance, his band, called The Losers, featured Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Josh Klinghoffer, and Duff McKagan of Guns N Roses. Iggy Pop will be playing a handful of US shows this April with Andrew Watt, Chad Smith, and Duff McKagen making up The Losers. Check out the video below.
