Take Today have released a new two-song single. The single features their two new songs “So Impossible” and “Burying Me”. The single is out now via Pedal Boy Records and Ska Punk International. Take Today released their album Communiques in 2022. Check out the songs below.
Laura Jane Grace has announced US tour dates for this spring. Weakened Friends will be joining her on the majority of dates and she will be supporting Frank Turner and The Interrupters on a handful of dates on their previously announced co-headlining tour. Tickets for her headlining shows go on sale on January 10. In a statement released on Instagram Laura Jane Grace said, "I’ll be fresh from the studio having finished tracking the new record and looking forward to road testing new songs. Is this an album preview tour? Well, not just! Gonna be ripping all the classics too, AM!, Mothers, dead name, you got a request just yell it out! Looking forward to this run very much so". She is currently working on new music and released her solo EP At War With The Silverfish in 2021. Check out the dates below.
Italian music festival Bay Fest has announced its first wave lineup for this year. Pennywise, H2O, Me First and The Gimme Gimmes, Good Riddance, Pulley, and The Venomous Pinks are set to play the festival. Bay Fest will take place at the Bellaria Igea Marina in Rimini, Italy on August 12-14.
German hardcore and punk festival My People Fest has added more bands to its lineup for this year. Choke Cocoi, Dying For It, Incaseyouleave, Initiate, Problem Patterns, and Iron Deficiency will now be playing the festival. These bands join the previously announced first wave lineup of Faim, Fuse, Move BHC, Shoreline, Tomar Control, xDREGSx, and No Man. My People Fest will take place July 14-16 at Cassiopeia Club and OST Hafen in Berlin, Germany.
Dream Wife have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called Social Lubrication and will be out June 9 via Lucky Number. The band have also released a video for their new song “Hot (Don’t Date A Musician)”. Dream Wife released both their album So When You Gonna… and their live album IRL (Live in London 2020) in 2020. Australian punks Private Function have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called 370HSSV 0773H and features a scratch-off cover. If you reveal three matching icons you can win $2999 and have your face printed on all future represses of the album. This album cover almost didn’t happen due to South Australia’s Lotteries Act which states that a permit must be obtained for the release of anything involving “scratch-based cash promotion”. On February 6, the band announced that they had been granted an exemption from Part 2 of the Lotteries Act. The album will be able to be released as planned in South Australia with the scratch-off cover intact. 370HSSV 0773H will be out March 31. Private Function released their album Whose Line Is It Anyway? in 2020. See the band's statement about the exemption below.
