Huggy Bear have announced that they will be releasing two of their Peel Sessions. The Sessions were recorded in 1992 and 1993 and will be released together under the title Basic Strategies for Going Out. The record was mastered from the original tapes by Fred Thomas and will be out on February 14 via JABS, Monorail Music, and Rough Trade. Huggy Bear released their book Killed (of Kids) in 2024. Don't Forget To Leave, the independent documentary film about the late Tim Landers (Transit, Misser, and Cold Collective) premiered over two years ago with much accolades from the punk community and is now available to stream digitally on Hoopla. London, England-based punks Man/Woman/Chainsaw have released a video for their new song “Only Girl”. The video was created by Charlie and Charlie. The song is available digitally now via Fiction Records and is their first single released on the label. It is their third single to be released so far this year and follows “Adam and Steve” and “MadDog”. Man/Woman/Chainsaw released their EP Eazy Peazy in 2024. Check out the video below.
Southern Ontario-based bird punks Avem have announced European tour dates for January. The trek will begin on January 11 in Joure, Netherlands and will wrap up on January 17 in Munster, Germany. Dublin-based rockers Thumper have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called Sleeping With The Light On and will be out on February 20. The band has also released a new song called “Middle Management”. Thumper released their album Delusions of Grandeur in 2022. Check out the song below.
Josh Freese of Nine Inch Nails and Devo and The Dwarves and Foo Fighters and Guns n Roses and The Vandals and Sublime with Rome and a hundred other bands will release a new solo LP. Just A Minute, Vol. 2 is out on November 28, 2025 via Loosegroove Records.
