This year marks 20 years since the release of Cancer Bats’ seminal album Birthing the Giant. Cancer Bats will be touring across Canada playing the album in full starting in April. Anciients, TEETH, and Chastity will be joining them on the majority of those dates. Cancer Bats will also be touring Europe starting in May to celebrate 20 years of the band. These shows will be a mix of Cancer Bats shows and Bat Sabbath shows. You can see all of the dates below. Punknews editor Em Moore caught up with lead vocalist Liam Cormier to talk about 20 years of Birthing the Giant, growing as a band, Pouzza memories, Black Sabbath, and so much more. Poison Ruin have released a lyric video for their new song “Guts (Lay Your Self Aside)”. The song is off their upcoming album Hymns From The Hills which will be out on April 3 via Relapse Records. Poison Ruin will be touring North America starting in April and released their album Confere in 2024. Check out the video below.

Tim Kasher’s home phone, the solo project of Tim Kasher, of Cursive and The Good Life, has announced a new album. It is called Songs of Experience and was written during the Memorial Day long weekend in 2025. It will be out on May 22 via Born Losers Records.
