The Beths release video for "Mother, Pray For Me"

The Beths have released a video for their new song “Mother, Pray For Me”. The video was directed and produced by Annabel Kean and Callum Devlin. The song is off their upcoming album Straight Line Was A Lie which will be out on August 29 via Anti- Records. The band will be going on an extenstive world tour this fall and winter. The Beths released the deluxe version of their album Expert In A Dying Field in 2023. Check out the video below.

Roddy Bottum to release memoir

Roddy Bottum of Faith No More and Man on Man has announced that he will be releasing a memoir. It is called The Royal We and will be out on November 4 via Akashic Books. A description of the book reads in part, "THE ROYAL WE is a poetic survey of a time set in a magical city that once was and is no more. It is a memoir written by Roddy Bottum, a musician and artist, that documents through prose his coming of age and out of the closet in 1980s San Francisco, a charged era of bicycle messengers, punk rock, street witches, wheatgrass, and rebellion. The book follows his travels from Los Angeles, growing up gay with no role models, to San Francisco, where he formed Faith No More and went on to tour the world relentlessly, surviving heroin addiction and the plight of AIDS, to become a queer icon." Roddy Bottum will be doing a book tour around the US in November. You can see those dates below.

Thee Soreheads to release debut EP, share "Ratlike"

Montreal-based punk rockers Thee Soreheads have announced that they will be releasing their debut EP. It is called I’m Not Your Fucking Sex Doll and will be out on November 7 via Outhouse Records. The band has also released their lead single called “Ratlike”. Thee Soreheads released their demo tape Thee Wee Demos earlier this year. Check out the song below.

Tours: Off With Their Heads announce ‘In Desolation’ 15th anniversary tour (US)

Off With Their Heads have announced US tour dates to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their album In Desolation. s.m.u.g. will be joining them on all dates with The Copyrights, Toys That Kill, and F.Y.P joining them on select dates. Off With Their Heads will be touring the US in October on their Halloween tour. Check out the dates below.

No Joy: "My Crud Princess"

Montreal-based No Joy, the project of Jasamine White-Gluz, has released a video for their new song “My Crud Princess”. The video was created by Maxwell Zikakis, who also shot the footage for the video along with Jasamine White-Gluz. The song is off their upcoming album Bugland which will be out on August 8 via Hand Drawn Dracula and Sonic Cathedral. No Joy released Ghost Blonde in 2022. Check out the video below.

The Bloody Hell have released a video for their new song “Are You Happy?” The video features footage by Josh Edmonds, Brad Stevens, Open Path Films, Michael Ainslie, HM Chap, Matt Relf, and Hfx Visuals. It was edited by Ian Kean. The song is off their upcoming album Blood Code which will be out in the fall. The Bloody Hell released their album Nobody Cares in 2022. Check out the video below.

Tours: The OBGMs announce US tour

The OBGMs have announced US tour dates for this fall. The band will begin their tour on November 16 in Atlanta, Georgia and will wrap up this run on November 22 in Somerville, Massachusetts. The OBGMs released their album SORRY, IT’S OVER in 2024 and it was recently short-listed for the Polaris Music Prize. The band will also be playing FME in August in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec.
