Mxpx and The Ataris are going on a short jaunt. They'll be in the mid-west for four shows in November. You can see the dates below.

Sadly, the historic Mayan Theatre in L.A. is closing after about 98 years of operation. Over the years, the venue has hosted concerts, dance parties, movies, plays, and just about everything else. The current owners, who have run concerts out of the venue for 35 years, did not state a reason or future plans for the theatre. Previously, the city of L.A. designated the theater a Los Angeles Historic Cultural Monument. The designation doesn’t protect it from demolition, but it does require the city to consider preservation of the historic site before it is destroyed.

After years of trouble, FYRE fest has been sold… on eBay… for a paltry $245,000. Owner Billy McFarland, who went to jail for a number of years for crimes related to the initial FYRE fest, put the IP, trademarks, social media, and other non-tangible business assets up for sale on eBay last week. The sale closed at $245,000, which is considered to be a very low amount. McFarland did not disclose the buyer, but did state on social media "FYRE Festival is just one chapter of my story, and I'm excited to move onto my next one."McFarland still owes about $26 million in restitution to victims of his FYRE fest scams and related scams. Meanwhile, the Fyre festival hotel pop up in Utila, Bay Islands, still seems to be moving forward. We might keep you updated.

Jane's Addiction members Dave Navarro, Eric Avery and Stephen Perkins have filed a lawsuit against singer Perry Farrell. The suit stems from JA's disastrous last show where Farrell and Navarro got into an altercation on stage, with Farrell being dragged off stage by security. As part of the suit, Plaintiffs allege that Farrell's behavior ended the tour and also prevented the planed recording of a new album. The suit, filed today, demands $10 million, which is what the band says Farrell's actions cost them. Navarro is also suing for assault and battery. Farrell is expected to file a responsive pleading in 30 days or less.

Spite House have released a new song called “Stale Change”. It is off their upcoming album Desertion which will be out on September 12 via Pure Noise Records. Spite House will be touring Canada in September with The Dirty Nil and released their self-titled album in 2022. Check out the song below.

Descendents have regained the rights to the seminal Milo Goes to College, which has languished out of print on SST for a number of years. The band will re-release the album on ORG Music (who also handles the Bad Brains catalog). The new version retains the original track listing and art, but remasters the tunes. It is out September 15.

Koyo have announced North American tour dates for this fall. Ben Quad and Restraining Order will be joining them on all dates and Leaving Time will be joining them on select dates. The tour kicks off on October 23 in Toronto, Ontario and wraps up on November 23 in New York, New York. Koyo released their EP Mile A Minute in 2024 and released their album Would You Miss It? in 2023. Check out the dates below.

Stay Inside have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called Lunger and will be out on October 3 via Tiny Engines. The album features 14 songs, including the previously released songs “Super Sonic” and “Monsieur Hawkweed”. The band has also released a new song called “Oh, Longshoreman”.
