Core. Festival has announced its lineup for this year. Torche, And So I Watch You From Afar, Defeater, Pest Control, The Chisel, Oversize, Moni Jitchell, False Reality, Ditz, Cruelty, Shooting Daggers, Perp Walk, Cave In, Agriculture, The HIRS Collective, Death Goals, Mrs. Frighthouse, Shutter, and Lights Out are among the bands who will be playing. Core. will take place September 12-14 at Woodside Halls and The Hug and Pint in Glasgow, Scotland.

Montreal-based punk duo DVTR have released a video for their new song “Couleur Peau (Your Next Token Asian Friend)”. The video was created by Cedric Demers and Alexandre Normand. The song is available digitally now via Lisbon Lux Records. DVTR released their deluxe EP BONJOUR (BIS) in 2024. Check out the video below.

Texas-based music festival Levitation has announced its first wave lineup for this year. Mastodon, Acid Bath, Blood Incantation, TV On The Radio, The Brain Jonestown Massacre, Wednesday, Model//Actriz, Pavement, Built To Spill, Frankie and the Witch Fingers, PUP, Jeff Rosenstock, The Armed, A Place to Bury Strangers, Upchuck, Population II, The Dandy Warhols, Boy Harsher, Martin Rev of Suicide, and Pixel Grip are among the bands playing. Levitation will take place September 25-28 at Palmer Events Center as well as multiple venues across downtown Austin.

Yellowcard to release new album, share two new songs

Yellowcard have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called Better Days and will be out on October 10 via Better Noise Music. The album was produced by Travis Barker who they were in the studio with earlier this year. The band has also released two new songs “Better Days” (which comes with an accompanying video) and “honestly i”. Yellowcard released their EP Childhood Eyes in 2023. Check out the songs below.

Tours: Svalbard to disband in 2026, announce final UK tour

Svalbard have announced that 2026 will be the final year of the band. They announced this in an Instagram post that reads in part, ”After much reflection, we have decided that 2026 will be the final year of Svalbard. […] Thank you to everyone who has supported us during our 15 years as a band. Your support has meant the world to us. We’ve shared so many unforgettable moments and we look forward to commemorating our last year as a band with you in 2026.”The band will be heading out on a final UK tour in November which will start on November 19 in Glasgow and wrap up on November 23 in London. Cage Fight and Knife Bride will be joining them on those dates. The band will also be embarking on a final tour of Europe and Japan that have yet to be announced.Svalbard formed in 2011 and released four albums over the course of their 15 years together, the last of which was 2023’s The Weight of the Mask.
