the Boreouts have announced a debut 7-inch. The band is composed of Jason Navarro (The Suicide Machines, Hellmouth, Break Anchor) on vocals and guitar, Ko Melina (The Dirtbombs) on bass, and John Bunkley (Gangster Fun) on keyboards. The 7-inch has two tracks: "Scam" and "Tightrope." The release is out now via Rad Girlfriend and you can hear it below.

Monk has released a new song called “Shadow Self”. It is off their upcoming EP Dark Side of the Mind which will be out on April 25 via Dine Alone Records and Tarantula Tapes. We recently spoke with Frank and Scott about the new EP on the Punknews Podcast and you can listen to that episode right here. Monk will be touring touring Mexico and California in April and released their EP Rock in 2023. Check out the song below.

Florida Man has released a video for their new song “The House”. The song is off their upcoming album Plastique which will be out on April 4 via The Ghost Is Clear Records. Florida Man released their album Tropical Depression in 2019. Check out the video below.

NOBRO have released their cover of “Reservoir” by PUP as part of SiriusXM Polaris Cover Sessions cover sessions which are put together by SiriusXM and the Polaris Music Prize. The video was shot at Studio Vieux Pone and was directed and edited by Alexandre Pelletier. “Reservoir” originally appeared on PUP’s 2013 self-titled album. NOBRO’s most recent album, 2023’s Set Your Pussy Free, made it onto the shortlist for the Polaris Music Prize in 2024. NOBRO will be playing Pouzza Fest in Montreal in May and will be touring the US with Bad Waitress and Gen and the Degenerates starting later that month. Check out the cover below.

Today we are thrilled to bring you the premier of the new song by Los Angeles punk trio Crisis Actor! The song is called “Nervous Laughter” and is the first single off their upcoming album Limited Hangout. Speaking to Punknews about the track Tony Knox said, "'Nervous Laughter' came from a feeling of being persistently baffled at how disastrous events could happen one after another to the point of absurdity, and how it seemed that every person and even the systems involved in most of these situations seemed to be comically inept or cruel. We were looking out at the world and watching everything on a global and national stage seem like such a trainwreck in such an absurd way, that it felt difficult to not laugh at, yet that laughter was always an expression of anxiety more than anything else. We each brought our own personal take to it with our own lyrics but ultimately that was the seed of the idea. It came together very naturally with the driving almost dance-punk/post-punk style instrumentation that we had been jamming on. When we finally felt all the tracks for the new record, this one included, had been test-driven live long enough we ended up bringing it to House of Tomothy where we refined it even more. Given its content and the moment we felt it was the one to release as the first single off Limited Hangout.” ”Nervous Laughter” will hit streaming on March 14 and you can pre-save it right here. Mclusky have released a video for their new song “people person”. The video was directed by Remi Lamont. The song is off their upcoming album the world is still here and so are we which will be out on May 9 via Ipecac Recordings. The band's most recent album was 2004's The Difference Between Me And You Is That I’m Not On Fire and they released a remastered version of it in 2024. Check out the video below.
