The Dwarves will release a "new" album on Record Store Day 2025. It's called Sunshine, Lollipops, and Rainbows. It's described as "Never before heard complete LP Recorded live in studio 1989." The release will feature photos from Michael Levine (who did the cover shoot for Blood, Guts and Pussy). the release is being presented in a deluxe format as a picture disc with a deluxe, gatefold sleeve, printed inner sleeve, and other goodies. That's out April 12.

Last year, Sum 41's Deryck Whibley published an autobiography. In that book, Whibley stated that former manager Greg Nori sexually abused him over a period of years. Earlier this month, documents filed by Nori's attorney in Ontario Superior Court revealed Nori is suing Whibley for defamation. Nori is asking for $6 million in damages. He also alleges that Whibley started the relationship. Whibley has filed a counterclaim and has demanded $3 million, also based on a defamation theory.Nori previously stated: ""The accusation that I pressured Whibley to continue the relationship is false. The accusation that I pressured Whibley to continue the relationship by accusing him of homophobia is false. Ultimately the relationship simply faded out. Consensually. Our business relationship continued."At that time, Whibley responded: "It’s come to my attention that Greig Nori has now called me a liar. I’ll tell you right now, I stand behind every word that’s in my book, 100 per cent," Whibley said in a video that was shared widely on social media. “I’m not a liar, and I’m going to speak to you directly, Greig Nori: If you think I’m a liar, there’s only one way to settle this — under oath. In front of a judge, in front of a jury. Anytime you want. I’m ready whenever you are.”

Hauntu have released a video for their new song “Crooked Teeth”. The video was directed by RC Krueger. The song is available digitally via Sell The Heart Records. Hauntu released I in 2024. Check out the video below.

We are pleased to debut the new tune by Japan's Your Pest Band! "We'll get crossed" is big, melodic, and hazy. The band rushes forward with a jolted up drive while dropping shimmering vocals over top of the warm hue. It's kind of like if Jesus and Mary Chain became a power pop band. There is also a very cool guitar solo. That's off the Blaze by me album out now. Oh, and the band is going on a USA tour! Manchester Punk Festival has added more bands to its lineup for this year. Oi Polloi, CHERYM, Millie Manders and the Shut Ups, Vanilla Pod, Counterpunch, Perp Walk, Gen and the Degenerates, False Reality, Waterweed, GirlBand!, Bleach Brain, Grandma’s House, Terrorpins, and Long Neck Lass are among the bands announced. They join the previously announced lineup which includes The Menzingers, Dillinger Four, Strung Out, Smoke or Fire, The Chisel, Single Mothers, and Knife Club. Manchester Punk Fest will take place at The Union, Gorilla, The Bread Shed, Yes, Rebellion, and Sandbar in Manchester, UK on April 18-20. See the lineup in full below.

Deafheaven have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called Lonely People With Power and will be out on March 28 via Roadrunner Records. The band has also released a video for their new song “Magnolia” which was directed by Sean Stout and Chelsea Jade. Deafheaven released their 10th-anniversary remix / remaster of Sunbather in 2023 and released their album Infinite Granite in 2021. Check out the video below.

Caterwaul has announced its first wave lineup for this year. Pissed Jeans, Young Widows, Suckling, Elephant Rifle, Eye Flys, In Lieu, Kowloon Walled City, Lung, Mr Phylzzz, and Open Head will be playing. The festival’s logo was created by Whitney Does. Caterwaul will take place May 23-26 in Minneapolis, MN.

Last week Sludge Bunny announced that they would be disbanding after 2 years together. Naomi Joan took to Instagram to announce this news in a statement that reads, ”As of yesterday, @sludgebunny4ever (Sludge Bunny) decided to go our separate ways. The band is done. These last two years have been life changing for me in every possible way and I cannot describe how deeply of a loss it is to move on from this project. The moments and memories and songs and pain and happiness from every point of this venture will always live on in me. We had a good run, and if you enjoyed our music, or if it touched you in some way, then it was all worth it. I cannot thank enough the talents and work of @undercover_amy6 @mxyolandagrace and @kel_or_high_water over the last 2 years. They have been nothing short of extraordinary in the pursuit of this dream. We all will continue to make music! You can hear Amy and Yolanda playing in @goof.goblin and Kelsi and Yolanda in @hereticandtheweasel in the future! And I (Naomi) am sure I'll be back out there before ya know it, keep your ears open Thank you all. For everything.
