Today we are thrilled to bring you the premiere of the new video by Winnipeg-based punk rockers Dinner Club! The video is for their new song “Birthday Suits” and was filmed and edited by Trav Anema. Speaking about the video, the band said, "'Birthday Suits' is about fleeting lakeside summers and the brief but formative relationships that come and go with them. This song and video follow the journey of two people who retrace their steps through their old lakeside town. As they reconnect and reminisce on the years gone by, old feelings and memories start flooding back to them.  Considering the lyrics, we always knew we wanted to shoot this video near water. We spent an afternoon at Winnipeg Beach shooting the narrative part of this video with our wonderful extras and then shot the band performance footage at a later date closer to home. This video was shot and edited by Trav Anema, who we had previously worked with on our first single, ‘Galaxy Quest’.” ”Birthday Suits” will be available everywhere on November 14 and is off Dinner Club’s upcoming album Brave Faces which will be out on November 15. Armor For Sleep have announced a tour of the US to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 2005 album What To Do When You Are Dead. Boys Night Out and Hellogoodbye will be joining them on all dates. Los Angeles-based folk punk musician Sunny War has released a video for her new song featuring Steve Ignorant of Crass called “Walking Contradiction”. The video was created by Little Wonder Productions and directed by Adrian Rose Leonard who also served as a puppeteer along with Jack Pullman, Sam Koji Hale, and Travis Harmon. The song is off her upcoming album Armageddon in a Summer Dress which will be out on February 21 via New West. Sunny War released her album Anarchist Gospel in 2023. Superheaven have released a video for their new song “Long Gone”. The video was directed by Britain Weyant. The song is off their upcoming two-song single which will include “Numb To What Is Real” and will be out on December 10 via Blue Grape Music. Pitchfork Fest will not return to Chicago in 2025. For the past 19 years, the festival has been hosted in Chicago, most recently taking place in Union park. The site stated, in part, "This decision was not made lightly. For 19 years, Pitchfork Music Festival has been a celebration of music, art, and community—a space where memories were made, voices were amplified, and the shared love of music brought us all together. The Festival, while aligned with the taste of the Pitchfork editorial team, has always been a collaborative effort, taking on a life of its own as a vital pillar of the Chicago arts scene. We are deeply grateful to the City of Chicago for being our Festival’s home for nearly two decades, to the artists who graced our stages with unforgettable performances, and to the fans who brought unmatched energy year after year." At this point, it is not clear if there will be a pitchfork festival in 2025 in another location, or of the installment is canceled. It may be a coincidences, but Pitchfork's announcement follows a summer where Riot fest struggled with hosting their own festival in Chicago and at Union field, with Riot Fest first announcing that it would not host its 2024 event at Union Field, and expressing annoyance with Chicago officials. After a period of negotiation, Riot fest did indeed return to Union Field in 2024. We'll keep you updated.
