The Get Up Kids to reissue 'Something To Write Home About'

The Get Up Kids have announced that they will be reissuing their album Something To Write Home About to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The reissue has been remastered and the deluxe edition comes with a second album made up of previously unreleased and rare demos from the recording session of the album. A 28-page full-colour booklet is also a part of the reissue. It will be out digitally on August 23 and out physically on September 20 via Polyvinyl Records. The band has released a demo of their song “Holiday” along with a video for the album version of that song that was directed by Shawn Brackbill and features old tour footage. The Get Up Kids will be touring the US and Canada starting in August where they will be playing the album in full. The band released Problems in 2019. Check out the video and demo below.

Skullpresser announce new EP, share "Positions of Power" video

Skullpresser, the band made up of members of Mannequin Pussy, The Wonder Years, One Dead, Three Wounded, and Birthday Boy, have announced that they will be releasing a new EP. It is called Positions of Power and will be out on September 6 via Born Losers Records. The band has also released a video for the title track. Skullpresser released their self-titled EP in 2023. Respire: "The Sun Sets Without Us"

Respire have released a new song. It is called “The Sun Sets Without Us” and is off their upcoming album Hiraeth which will be out July 26 via Dine Alone Records. Respire released their album Black Line in 2020. Check out the song below.

G.I.S.M. to release DVD compilation

On September 11, G.I.S.M. will release a DVD compilation of various live, studio, and experimental footage. As part of the package, the DVD includes the "Repami Kakakuon Gunrushi 911" film made by G.I.S.M.'s departed vocalist, Sakevi Yokoyama. Other unreleased material is also included in the package. That's out via the band's BeastArts and you can see the trailer below.

Tours: Pillow Queens announce North American tour

Pillow Queens have announced North American tour dates for this fall. Tickets go on sale on July 12. Pillow Queens released their album Name Your Sorrow earlier this year and we spoke to vocalist and guitarist Pamela Connolly about it in May. Check out the dates below.
