Earlier this year, at the debut of Nofx's exhibit at the Punk Rock Museum, Nofx read a statement before a roundtable. In the statement, Nofx collective stated that Eric Melvin "served" Fat Mike with legal papers the day after the final Nofx show. (Mike also stated this earlier at a Cokie the Clown performance). Of course, "legal service" refers to the formal delivery of a legal document—such as a summons, writ, subpoena, or complaint—to a party involved in a lawsuit. This weekend, Eric Melvin stated that he did not sue Fat Mike or serve any sort of filing on Fat Mike. Rather, as per Melvin's statement, it appears he sent a demand for accounting, which is where a member of an LLC demands the accounting records in order to review them to see if there is any malfeasance or other incorrect reporting. Sending a demand for accounting would not constitute "legal service." Melvin then stated that he will be at the premiere of the Nofx documentary. You can see the statement below.

Less Than Jake have been given the Key to Gainesville. The recognition will take place during the band's homecoming celebration- plays two shows as part of the "Wake & Bake Festival" at Vivid Music Hall on March 13 and 14. District IV Commissioner Bryan Eastman stated that he first heard Less Than Jake’s seventh studio album, GNV FLA when he was 18 and that he could not think of another group that has written more songs and albums about the city. He added, " I don’t think it’s 100% the reason I came to Gainesville, as there were several reasons, but certainly "GNV FLA," like so many albums by bands around the world, created a picture that was enticing and put it on a pedestal."
