Still Around raises funds, and a path forward, for brain tumor survivors

An upcoming fundraiser in Somerville is redefining the healing power of music. Get your first look at Max’s ‘Dune: Prophecy’ streaming series

It seems like only a few days ago that we last visited the wacky and wild world of Frank Herbert’s Dune, and it’s true — a lot of people did, thanks to the Dune: Part Two hitting VOD platforms — but you won’t have to wait much longer to return. In case you missed it, there’s been a long-gestating Dune TV show, formerly Dune: The Sisterhood, now titled Dune: Prophecy, which has been on deck for a few years, and […]

Ding-dong, the wicked ‘Wicked’ trailer is here

You know what, we’ve spent way too long complaining about Lucasfilm recently, so we were delightfully surprised when a trailer for Wicket, which we’re assuming is about everybody’s favorite Ewok — played by Warwick Davis, no less — showed up in our inbox on Wednesday morning. Ewoks have gotten a lot of unnecessary shit over the years, and we’re genuinely happy that someone’s finally doing something with them. Will it be a remake of the Ewoks TV show from the […]

Check out the freaky new video by Lumberob!

Okay… we've got a weird one for you today!Lumberob is one weird dude.He makes psychedelic, dark, trippy music that sounds like it is out of an acid-bathed '60s cartoon. Have you ever said to yourself, "what if the Flaming Lips were more evil sounding and they were mixed with the Residents and Their Satanic Majesty's Request? Well, that's the freaked out "My Goth Acquaintance." It's kind of scary and it rules. Speaking to Punknews, Lumberob says "It’s a punk thing if it’s an urgent thing — there must be some risk that things will break. Every time I step up to play, I think of that: how can I properly break something such that it’s being rebuilt is absolutely dazzling. Like Townes says, “there ain’t no dark till something shines.” Lumberob's new album, Hunter Gatherer is out July 12 via the famed Shimmy Disc label. You can pick that up here and you can see the freaky video for "My goth acquaintance" below, right now!

Fenway Park Concert Series: The starting lineup for Summer 2024

So far this season, breakout outfielder Jarren Duran is entrenched atop the Boston Red Sox batting order. But the Fenway Park Concert Series brought in a new leadoff hitter recently with the news that Lana Del Rey is set to perform live at the greatest ballpark in the world.
