Save Ferris state they "Won't back down" regarding OC Supershow, delete statement, post new one

Currently, Save Ferris are scheduled to play the Brew Ha Ha production's OC Supershow this weekend. However, they are facing some heat from some fans. Last week, Aquabats and Fenix,TX dropped off the bill. Neither of those bands gave reasons for dropping off the bill. However, last month, Punk in the park fest, which was also run by Brew Ha Ha, collapsed after many bands left the tour due to the fact that Brew Ha Ha's founder donated money to the Trump campaign. Save Ferris were bombarded with messages from fans on their social media requesting the band to also drop off the bill. Save Ferris the posted a statement that said they are staying on the festival and "won't back down." They also stated that they did not agree with Trump's policies and said they would be donating a portion of their payment to certain charities. This garnered some negative (and some positive) feedback from fans. Save Ferris then deleted their original statement and posted a new one saying that they would be donating $1,000 to the Trevor project and will be playing the show. You can see the statements below. The band also posted a comment on the new post providing more information on their stance, which was then deleted.
