SSD have announced that they will be reissuing their 1983 album Get It Away. The album will be out on July 19 via Trust Records and the audio was completely remastered by Dan Johnson at Audio Archiving Studios. This marks the first time the album will be available digitally as well as the first time it’s been (officially) repressed since 1983. Part one of their documentary Get It Away – The Story of SSD has also been released. It was directed and edited by Coan Buddy Nichols. Trust Records handled the reissue of SSD’s album The Kids Will Have Their Say in 2023. Check out the short film below.

A release date for MC5’s first album in 53 years (which they initially announced in 2022) has finally been announced. The album is called Heavy Lifting and will be out on October 18 via earMUSIC. The band has also released a new song called “Boys Who Play With Matches”. The album features 13 new tracks and the bonus edition of the album has ten previously unreleased live tracks which were recorded during the MC50 tour in 2018. This is bittersweet as original members Wayne Kramer, drummer for MC5, has passed away< a> and Dennis Thompson both passed away earlier this year. Check out the song and tracklist below.

Bacchae have released a video for their new song “Just a Rat”. The video was animated and created by Brooke Feenie. The song is off their upcoming album Next Time which will be out on July 5 via Get Better Records. Bacchae released Pleasure Vision in 2020. Check out the video below.

Today we are thrilled to bring you the premiere of the debut EP by Madison-based post-hardcore band Endswell! The EP is called Keepsake and features four kick ass tracks. Speaking about the EP the band said,”A few years ago, our old project (redacted) fell apart and we were thinking about throwing in the towel… Until Alan showed us the main riff in “Heart Container”. This is why we decided to continue making music together. Shortly afterwards, we added Louie and Luke from local bands Tiny Voices and Kule respectively. Keepsake is everything we ever wanted to write together and is truly only the beginning. The title track was written by Maxwell and is from one of his old projects; “Spirit Blues” was written and worked on with the whole lineup; “Cruise Control” was written by Alan; and “Heart Container” came together the night the full lineup practiced for the first time. The lyrics on the EP reflect a lot of what had been going on in Maxwell’s life the last few years. They touch on topics like death, friendships falling out, and heartbreak.”Keepsake will be out everywhere on June 7 via Thumbs Up Records. Mirrored Fatality have announced that they will be releasing their debut album. It is called Labuad Meklooq and will be out on July 26 via Get Better Records and Psychic Eye. The duo have also released two new songs “Primaldial Magma” (which originally appeared on their 2022 EP ECOCIDE 3URTH) and “Zygmutrophooze”. The band has released a video for both songs that was directed by the members of the band láwû makuriye’nte and samar dagger along with Juicebox P. Burton. Check out the video and tracklist below.

Today we are thrilled to bring you the premiere of the new album by Toronto-based pop punk power trio The Mendozaz! The album is called Loafers and marks their third full-length to be released. Speaking about the album Jonny said, “For our first record we wore our influences proudly on our sleeve. Then for the follow-up we moved as far away from that as we could. For number three we took whatever crazy idea came to mind and chased it down until it reached its logical conclusion. We ended up with some strange stuff: a love song to our technological overlords, an ode to a Canadian historical figure who doesn’t get nearly as much love as he deserves (despite his name), a couple exposés that are sure to upset dog-lovers and bird-lovers alike and the most infectious earworm anyone could come up with.” We also caught up with the band to hear the stories behind the twelve tracks.
