Toronto-based pop punkers Sixteen Scandals have released a new song. It is called “A Mate Worse Than Death” and is their fifth single to be released so far this year. Sixteen Scandals released Nothing to C Here in 2019. Check out the song below.

Newmarket and Barrie-based punk rockers The Readys have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It’s called I Don’t Know, I’m High, Let’s Just Hit Record and Hope for the Best and will be out on June 21 via Tarantula Tapes. The band has also released their new song “Big Girl Panties On” which features Jonny Eyeball. The Readys released their album Pints of Jager in 2014. Check out the song below.

Morrissey will re-release his 1993 live album Beethoven was Deaf. This is the first vinyl issue of the album since its limited vinyl release in 1993. The new version has a new cover and is remastered. That's out July 26 via Rhino. Morrissey also alluded to his newest album, Bonfire of Teenagers in a recent missive, suggesting that its release will soon be announced.

How Music Got Free is an upcoming docu-series about Napster and the rise of digital music. It's executive produced by Eminem and LeBron James. The two=part series is described by producers as "the fascinating, and often funny, inside story of the technology-driven disruption that changed music during the late-90s and early-2000s. File-sharing technology, combined with the insatiable demand for new music, created both the means and the motive for millions of young people to participate in outright theft – and be celebrated for it." Buzzcocks are going on a summer tour. It kicks off in September in Philadelphia and runs across the USA. On the East coast, Lovecrimes opens the show. On the West side, Buzzcocks play between Descendents and Grumpster.Buzzcocks' Steve Diggle will also release an autobiography this year.
