The Misfits are reissuing their first Michale Graves era record, 1997's American Psycho. (You likely know Glenn danzig does not sing on this one). The new verison is newly remastered and is out via Interscope on November 13. It has two bonus tracks – "Dead Kings Rise" and "Hell Night." You can see the announcement below.
Mike Peters, drummer for Cancer Bats, has announced that he will be stepping away from touring at the end of September, following the band's Ontario shows. This was announced in an Instagram post which reads in part, ”Well folks. The time has finally come. It’s time for me to hang up the touring life and step down as the touring drummer of Cancer Bats. I’ve had the amazing opportunity to travel all over the world playing music for people, meeting rad people, and seeing and experiencing incredible places. It’s been an amazing adventure, one that I’ve truly loved. I am so fortunate to be a part of this beautiful worldwide community we call punk and hardcore. But I have two young kids at home that I need to be home for. I helped create them so I should be at home to help raise them into good responsible citizens of the world. It’s a whole new adventure and I’m excited for it. I’m also excited to announce that one of my favourite drummers and humans is going to be taking over for me. Ian Romano has been a friend for over 20 year[s]. We cut our teeth together when the bats would tour with his band Attack in Black. He also currently plays in the Daniel Romano outfit, [P]igpen, [C]orrosives and Career [S]uicide. Luckily he doesn’t have kids so he has time for it all. He also recorded all the vocals on Give me Dirt and the latest Bat Sabbath [EP]. He’s a legend and I couldn’t be more stoked that he is the guy taking over for me. I still plan to work behind the scenes with the Bats managing the band, and working as the booking agent for North America. I love this band and my brothers Liam, Jaye and Jackie. I want the best for them and I want them to continue to do what they love and what they are great at. I truly believe that Give Me Dirt is the best album we’ve ever made. I’m super proud of it, and I think this band still has a lot of life left in it!! So it’s time for a change so they can carry on in a healthy positive way!! Thanks for reading all this way and LONG LIVE THE BATS!!” Cancer Bats will be touring Ontario starting tonight and will be touring the UK in October. The band released their album Give Me Dirt earlier this year.
Montreal-based post-hardcore band Empty Nesters have announced that they will be releasing a new EP. It is called No Sad and will be out on November 27. They have also released a video for “Never Wanted” which was shot and edited by Eric Liao. Empty Nesters released their album Deaf Monks in 2025. Check out the video and tracklist below.
Integrity is going to re-release the original mix of their debut LP Those Who Fear Tomorrow. the new version will be out later this year via Italy's FOAD records. The album has been remixed numerous times, with the most recent version on Relapse, which features new drums by Iggor Cavalera. The FOAD version appears to use the original 1991 Mars studio mix and original cover. You can see a promo post about it below.
AURAT have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called silhouette and will be out on October 23 via Get Better Records. The band has also released a new song called “XIII”. AURAT released their EP Cobra earlier this year. Check out the song and tracklist below.
Pinksqueeze have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called We Can Have It and will be out on October 23. The band has also released a video for their new song “The Gay Agenda” which was created by and features graphics and animation from Serafima Healy. The video also comes with a flashing light warning for those who are photosensitive. Pinksqueeze will be touring the US starting in November and released their album Be Gay Have Fun in 2023. Hot Mulligan have announced details for their upcoming holiday show Ho Ho Hot Mulligan. Along with Hot Mulligan, Joyce Manor, Touché Amoré, Pool Kids, Mat Kerekes, Kerosene Heights, Wakelee, Flycatcher, House and Home, and Bike Routes will be playing the show. Ho Ho Hot Mulligan will take place on December 19 at the Russell Industrial Center in Detroit, Michigan.

Angine de Poitrine have won the 2026 Polaris Album Prize for their album Vol. 2 and the 2026 SOCAN Polaris Song Prize for their song “Fabienk”. The duo were presented with the awards at last night’s Polaris Prize Concert and Award Ceremony at Massey Hall in Toronto, Ontario. Angine de Poitrine received $30, 000 courtesy of the Slaight Family Foundation for the Album Prize and received $10, 000 courtesy of SOCAN for the Song Prize. The Concert and Award Ceremony will be released as a future episode of the series CBC Music Presents: Live At Massey Hall.
Today, we are psyched to debut the new track by Pressure Set! Mike Wiebe of Riverboat gamblers guests on the track! Do you know Pressure Set? It's a cool new band that includes Daryl Wilson of The Bollweevils, Dom Brining of Bear Away, Rob Burleson of SPELLS, and Simon Lamb of Methadones and Sludgeworth. The band kicks out quick n punchy tracks that rip off the roof and then get out of the room. That is to say, it is high energy and rips! They've got a brand new tune called "Panic Show" that does indeed rip. Speaking to Punknews, Wilson says, "'Panic Show' was really fun. A chance to sing with Mike, one of the best frontmen in music and my friend, was a dream. It was funny how it worked out because I had a whole song completed for the music, and Mike came around and did a whole song for the music as well. Turns out we had similar thinking behind the theme of the song. I'm working from the angle of the person who is always in a state of panic, which never solves anything; it just induces more panic. We have a society that continues to feed that beast, and you find people in this steady state of dread all the time. We are a medicated society, and no one is getting any better. I hope to do more collaborative songs with Mike and anyone else who's interested." Wiebe adds, "Writing these lyrics was a real "write what you know" situation for me. I was in the middle of a mental health crisis. My medication, which had worked really well for the better part of 30 years, suddenly just stopped working. I was in a pretty deep, couple-year-long spiral. Pretty much the only thing on my mind was making it through the day. So getting a song that already had the title "Panic Show" was pure synchronicity. Kind of eerie, really. I just stuck in most of what I was dealing with, hoping some doctor or nurse or psychologist could fix me. My source was mental health, but lyrically I added in a lot about general sickness too." "Feeling sick and desperate for something to make you feel better, I think that's a pretty universal feeling when you don't know what's wrong with you yet, or whether you're going to get better anytime soon. Thankfully, I've gotten some relief through medication and therapy since I laid these vocals down. It's kind of weird listening to it now and remembering how bad off I was. This is one of the few creative documents I have from that time. Hopefully I won't ever get back there again."The band's new record is out October 2 via Dr Strange.
