Today, we are pleased to debut the new video by Bitters and Distractions! As per the band's Jeremy Quitko, "The lyrics reflect a sense of urgency and reflection, by capturing the tension between striving for a meaningful future and grappling with the fleeting nature of time. Ultimately, "The Threads" is a bittersweet toast to the journey, the struggles, and the moments that define us. Like all Bitters and Distractions songs, this song was recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered by the band in their own homes. It includes backing vocals by Natalia Neal, who is a former student of Jeremy's. The music video was filmed and edited by the band, as well."You can check out the video below.

Family Man to go on infinite hiatus

Family Man have announced that they will be going on infinite hiatus. The band will be releasing the last single from their “Covered in Sound” on April 24 and will be playing three final shows which will be announced soon. The band announced this in an Instagram post written by lead vocalist and guitarist Conner Root which reads in part, ”This decision does not come from shame, anger, or anything like that. It comes from self preservation, growth and love. Speaking of which, I love this project and everything it has done for me. I think we all learned so much. And good god is it wild to have people sing your lyrics back to you from Vancouver to Plovdiv. But to be honest, my greatest achievement with Family Man has been getting to spend time creating, suffering, laughing, and loving with its members. Bryan, Griffin, Josh and Josh, you have been my family for the better part of a decade, and it has meant the world to me. While this is one of the hardest decisions to make, I also know that I have experienced what most people could only imagine when it comes to connection and stories I will bring with me throughout the rest of my life. Fuck am I lucky. I have so much more I could say. But I think I’d rather just scream in all your faces about it at our last shows. I am forever grateful to the band, to the team of people we have surrounding us that not only fought for and believed in the project, but handled this decision with so much grace, and to everyone that supported along the way.”Family Man released their EP So It Goes in 2025.
