Are vampires making a comeback? Sure, the bloodsucking freaks never really went away after the Twilight saga landed with a massive thud, and there have been plenty of good films featuring them — or some sort of take on their mythos — released in the interim (The Transfiguration, Only Lovers Left Alive, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night), but it’s looking like they’re back in a big way this year. Renfield‘s hitting theaters on Friday, Robert Eggers is making […]

We’ve all been in love with someone who didn’t love us back, and we’ve all felt the love from someone to which we remained indifferent, as our own love was directed elsewhere. That’s at the core of “Evelyn,” the enchanting new single from Bear’s Den that hits the streams today (April 13). It’s also the first taste of a new EP, First Loves, due June 23 via Communion Records, and the follow-up to last year’s Blue Hours album and Apple TV+ […]

It’s been a few years since Donnell Rawlings has been back to Boston, but much like not being able to forget how the Giants beat the shit out of the Patriots in the Super Bowl, the longtime comedic force can’t forget the love he has for the city. Making his Wilbur debut on Friday (April 14), Rawlings is looking forward to getting back in front of a Boston crowd, and seeing just how different a theater audience responds to his […]

Today we are stoked to bring you the premiere of the new video by Michigan and Southern California-based ska punks Poindexter! The video is for their single “Body Like That” and was directed by their keyboardist Nate Phung. Their trombone player Kenny Plont had this to say about the song, ”’Body Like That’ is a song about our singer Gracie’s struggles with gender dysphoria and coming out as a non-binary person. Several of our members are queer and identify as non-binary, so we also see this song as a celebration of gender variance and loving your queerness!” ”Body Like That” is off Poindexter’s upcoming album Treats which will be out this spring/summer via Ska Punk International. The band will also be playing Stoop Fest in Lansing, Michigan on April 22. Watch the video below!
