Dutch pop-punk band The Windowsill are streaming two new songs from their upcoming record Focus. Check out “Love You Better” and “Born to Hike” below, and pre-order the album here.

Focus will be the band’s first full-length album since 2017’s Make Your Own Kind of Music. Shield Recordings is releasing the album on CD/digital November 16th, with plans for a vinyl release in May, 2023.

Recently featured in our Ten Underrated Punk Bands You Need To Check Out Right Now column, The Windowsill has a distinct sound that’s heavily influenced by 90’s pop-punk bands like Screeching Weasel and The Queers.

Sick New World Festival, a new festival similar to When We Were Young Fest, has announced its inaugural lineup. System of A Down, Korn, Deftones, Incubus, Turnstile, Evanescence, Mr. Bungle, Ministry, Spiritbox, Kittie, Killing Joke, Machine Girl, Body Count, Cradle of Filth, Fiddlehead, and Scowl are among the bands playing. The festival will take place May 13, 2023 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tickets go on sale November 11. Check out the lineup in full below.

Public Serpents sign to Sbam Records

Public Serpents will release a record on Sbam records next year. Though details of the release were not announced, the band has been working on a long gestating LP for a number of years. Recently, vocalist Skwert announced that the record had been completed but the band was looking for a label. We'll keep you updated. The band released Feeding of the Fortune 5000 in 2008.
